Morning Star canoe - Waikiru wato
Morning Star canoe - Waikiru wato
We are grateful to God for everything He has done in Amazonas. The last few months have been difficult for the people of the forest because of the worst drought seen in the last 100 years. Thank God it started to rain again and soon people's lives will return to normal a little. This drought will have many consequences because it killed many people's farms, next year they will have nothing to harvest. 2024 will be a difficult year but God will take care of the Amazonian people.
Due to the drought, all Nazarene mission trips were canceled as there was no way to reach the communities. We were waiting all this time to deliver the donation of a boat to our indigenous lay pastor. With the river a little higher we were able to make a trip to deliver the canoe. It was a very special time and one of great gratitude, where the indigenous layman said that his prayers were heard!
We want to send our words of gratitude to our brother, churches and leaders in California who committed themselves to purchasing the canoe to support indigenous evangelization. Without your support this donation would not be possible. Everything happens in God's time! We are grateful that the grant project has been completed.
The name chosen for the canoe was "Morning Star", which in indigenous language is spelled "Waikiru Wato".
God is good all the time!
